About Me

Hello everyone!

I'm Yuliya but you can call me Julie :)

This will be my first time travelling properly and going on a plane so I'm really excited. I can say honestly that I am a very open person and open to new experiences. I've met people from all over the world from hosting in my house in Kiev. All the travellers have really inspired me to travel myself and see more of the world. The couchsurfing community is so wonderful and I sincerely hope to meet more people when I finally get the chance to go to the UK this month....and finally experience an airplane flight!

In my spare time, I love to look after animals, especially ducks since I have a few in my garden just now. I also study English by myself - so apologies if i'm quite shy to speak, I really want to improve my speaking and I hope I can do this by trying to get to know some locals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I learn so much with every single person I meet here. My mind is opened every day and I want to really meet as many people as possible. It's such a great experience and I'm so grateful for this opportunity.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical music such as listening to Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart and Handel.

I have to admit I watch a lot of Desperate Housewives and all sorts of tv and they types of books I like to read are:

Dostoevsky - Crime and Punishment
Anton Chekhov - 40 Stories
Nikolai Gogal - An Evening on a Farm near Dikanka
Leo Tolstoy - Peace and War and of course, Anna Karenina

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

SO one of the most fun experiences i've had (and the funniest) was zorbing down a mountain. So I should probably explain what a zorb is. It basically looks like an orb or a clear ball shaped balloon which you go inside, and you can roll around in this orb. I'm pretty sure I looked like an idiot but it was really funny and I enjoyed it so much. I really recommend it to everyone!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have had some of the best experiences hosting for people all over the world. Cooking and eating together has always made me and others happy. I hope to one day share my culture and food with you :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories, adventures and cooking for sure with everyone!

Countries I’ve Visited

Slovakia, Slovenia
