About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get the most from every day living

ABOUT ME

I am a journalist from Ukraine who loves to travel, gather bright memories and meet new people. I feel excited about getting new experience and acquiring skills. The whole world seem to be full of secrets which have to be opened like birthday presents. I feel happy to watch other people searching for some kind of marvel in their lives. I'm not that kind of person who would just sit at home and watch a telly. I love active sports (like skiing, snowboarding, diving). I like volunteering and helping others. This has brought me to many places beginning from rural school in China to a foodwaste restaurant in Denmark.
I appreciate every minute of life and do my best to make my days full of good people, destinations and memories.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is to short to be afraid of changes. We've got the most precious present ever given. That is our life. So be ready to give it color. This moment is unique. There will never be a single one like this. Take it, embrace it and be grateful for having it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One of the best couchsurfing experience in my life was at school. I got a chance to spend one week in Wien living with Austrian family. I could speak German just a bit, but those people gave me so much care, that it became one of the best travelling experience in my whole life! It became even more fun, when this girl from Austria came to Ukraine to spend a week at my home. Definitely, that was awesome. This is the best way of international cultural exchange.

Music, Movies, and Books

From pop-rock to jazz and lounge music.

Simply in love with film works by Paolo Sorrentino, Jorgen Leth and Xavier Dolan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I celebrated Christmas with absolute strangers in New York. Brazilian, Ukrainian and Japanese (with short appearances of Australian and Costa-Rican) - bizzare night full of adventures worthy shooting a movie. And it's amazing how you can make friends in a matter of hours with people to whom it is so difficult to say goodbye afterwards...

P.S. Caught up with a new Japanese friend in Tokyo in a few months - if there was no New York, there wouldn't be such a motivation to go to Japan. One adventure leads to another one.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always eager to learn from others. Once my friend asked me with whom in the world I'd like to have a dinner. I said that regardless who my dinner guest is, he has loads to tell and teach me about.

I can also teach a bit: mindfulness techniques, traveling with a purpose, launching your crowdfunding campaign, learning Slavic languages. Well, more to come. Learning together from each other is always fun!
