Well, it sounds little weird for me to describe about myself.
Maybe checking out the references (there are not so many though), my interest below , or the photos are better way to see what I am like.
Just for basic facts of me:
I was born and raised in Tokyo, still living in there.
I am a freelance artist, manly working on sculptures and installation arts. You can see some of my works here → www.sameshimayumikio.com
I organize an art-based international exchange event “Artist Meetup!” every month at an art gallery in Tokyo.
I am a starting member of Japan-Mexico art exchange project “JaM -Artist in Homestay-”.
I have 2 adorable cats in my home. Actually, there is NO cat who is unadorable in the world I believe.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

When I first heard about Couchsurfing, I felt like "Huh, maybe that is a great idea or can be kind of dangerous?" I guess this happens to everyone.
Then, I gave it a shot when I was travelling in Kazakhstan, then I met some fantastic people there and had such a blast with them. So now, my opinion about Couchsurfing is like "Wow! What a cool idea! This is how we can feel the local life closer and easier! I'm in it!"

My latest trip with CS was in Germany in 2018, I stayed with several hosts there. All the hosts were ever so nice and the time I shared with them were just amazing.
I can't host surfers in my home for some reasons, but I am ready for hanging out with or explore around Tokyo.

兴趣

My life is mostly occupied with Art and Travelling. I can't live without that.
Art: I especially like contemporary art coz that's what I do too. So, most of the time I go to see contemporary art exhibitions in Tokyo. But when I travel abroad, I usually visit any kinds of museums there, contemporary, modern, classic, history, ethnic, technique, nature, science, whatever.
Travelling: I would say I am a kind of travel addict. I always want to go somewhere. I was travelling in Asia for 2 years and a half. That was my sweetest and happiest memory in my whole life. Every time I go to new country, I try to learn local language. I think that is the best way to get along with the locals and understand the culture there. In fact, that worked pretty well. I also love to eat local food, visit lesser-known places with nothing to see, stay with locals, hang out other tourists, see ethnic cultures, etc.

Having some strange experiences or looking for some weird places is my hobby too. It can be seen in my photos.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Bungee jumping from 100 meters high bridge in Japan.
Visited Eastern Tibet and saw their traditional Horse race festival in China.
Spent 24 hours on a half-broken old bus hopping all the time with incredibly bumpy road(actually there was no road, it was just a everlasting plain) in Mongolia.
Took a 5 days motorbike trip and visited some hilltribe's villages where no other tourist were there in Laos.
Eating delicious tropical fruit everyday, such as mango, lychee, mangosteen, papaya, rambutan, etc in Thailand.
Stayed a night in a "Crazy House" in DaLat in Vietnam.
Riding on a bike in big flood and saw some locals getting relaxed on pool float in that flood in Cambodia.
Went for a 3 days hiking and stayed in Pao tribe's village, experienced just a bit of their life in Myanmar.
Joined in the most important festival of Sumba tribe, got dressed in Sumba's traditional costume in Indonesia.
