About Me
Hello! I am an American English teacher working and living in Malaysia. I teach at a government secondary school in northern Malaysia and I am absolutely in love with what I do. I love to travel, make connections, and meet new people!
I am a tea/chai fanatic and one thing I do in every country is try an authentic cup of tea. I will go on a long adventure to find the best cup if I must ☕️
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and do it quite often. I am really looking to make local connections everywhere I go and this is a perfect place to do that! I can easily stay at a hostel and in some situations, do. But the local connection is usually missing that way and this platform is an amazing way to connect and form friendships.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read!!! I’d love any book recommendations:)
My current favorite is ‘When Breath Becomes Air’ and I highly recommend that everyone read it!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I completed a three day/two night trek in Myanmar and it was incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to cook and I can always teach how to make Pakistani food or Western food. I am also a fan of making Italian dishes!
I want to learn about people and cultures. While I am a tourist everywhere I go, I love traveling to places that allow me to experience the authentic culture more than a tourist destination. If that means going trekking through a village or hanging out at a local restaurant in a village, I’m there! The best way to learn about people and is by conversation. I love sharing my story and learning everyone else’s!
