Über mich
I'm a person who just finished undergrad and wants to see as much of the world as possible before getting locked back into school again.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I'll be traveling alone in Europe and I want to use Couchsurfing as a way to meet new people and make new friends! I absolutely dread and despise travel agency-guided tours because of how distant I feel to the places I visit; we just hop in and out of hours-long bus rides just to snap a few pictures. I wanted this next trip to be a deep and rich experience. Though I still want to visit iconic tourist attractions (I can't resist), I also want to live like a local, to learn the language and culture through personal exposure.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
I grew up on CPop so naturally I love Jay Chou, and I now listen to JJ Lin, Yoga Lin, Fang Da Tong, Zhang Jie, and the list goes on...I also recently got into "The Rap of China" and uh so many good songs from there...When I want to chill to lyric-less music though, I like going on Youtube for a lo-fi hip hop playlist or "Rainy Jazz". As for American artists, I like Adele, Beyonce, old Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, and Ed Sheeran. One of my roommates also recently introduced me to Stromae AND I AM IN LOVE WITH HIM.
For movies, I am def into psychological thrillers like Momento, Se7en, and sometimes weird, twisted ones like American Beauty or The End of the Fucking World.
Favorite books hmm so many...well when I was little I absolutely loved the Inkheart series, and I reread them this past year--still amazing! I also still enjoy Wrinkle in Time and its sequels. Beyond fantasy, I also enjoy (not to sound high-brow or anything but) Shakespeare; in fact, I went to England for the first time for my Shakespeare study abroad trip two years ago. It was fantastic! Watching the plays I've only seen on page come to life (yes, cheesy) at the Globe and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre! From my high school years, I enjoyed Picture of Dorian Gray, The Stranger (one of the reasons why I have been learning French), and Catcher in the Rye (I know many people hate this book because they can't stand the endless classic teenager complaints, but hey I was myself one of those cynical teenagers that shitted on everything so I really identified with Holden).
