About Me

My name is Nora, I'm from China and have lived in America for school and work. Being a huge fan of travelling, I've been to different parts in China and explored various places in Malaysia, America, India, United Arab Emirates, Cambodia, Vietnam and Philippines. I love taking adventures, exploring new cultures and experiencing new things. Life is a journey to me, in the end it's all about the moments that took our breath away and the great memories that shaped us. The meaning of life comes down to the places that grew on us, people who came to our life and made a difference, the stories we had and most importantly love. Life is short, live it and live it one of a kind!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why not?

Interests

My passion in life lies in travelling, music, food, reading, movies and experiencing new things in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE music, movie and reading. Jazz is my favorite kind of music and I also listen to Adele, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake and Kelly Clarkson a lot. I'm particularly interested in detective, action, adventure and suspense movies. Reading has been another way for me to relax and explore the world when I can't go on a trip. Books like《Eat, Pray, Love》,《Life is Elsewhere》, 《The Four Loves》,《84, Charing Cross Road》and《One Thousand Gifts》give me great pleasure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had more than one but tons of amazing experiences and unique stories I can share with you in person.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have taught English in China as a part time job and have also taught Chinese when I was living in the U.S. The most pleasant teaching experience I've had is when I volunteered to teach primary school kids conflict resolution in Columbus, Ohio, USA when I was pursuing my second master degree in law at the Ohio State University. My job now is to teach people how to do legal research and share expertise on that in conferences/seminars. I'm always open to learning different things and down for language/idea exchange. You are more than welcome to teach me new things and share a good time together.
