About Me

I am a tour guide and travel consultant from Russia specializing in UK travel, especially hidden gems and off-the-beaten-truck stuff.
I was born in Moscow, but England is second home to me now and I've got lots of friends here and really enjoy meeting new interesting people.
As an entrepreneur I am involved in several exciting projects including UK travel, British-themed events and festivals in Russia, British ales and whiskies imports and sales, shared economy innovative projects etc.
Kindhearted, smiling and positive, love exciting things and crazy ideas )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love meeting new people and sharing - anything from experiences and emotions to car trips and homestays.

Interests

All things British, including pub culture and cask ales - In May 2015 I organized the 1st ever British Real Ale Festival in Russia.
I am also a founder of Manchester United official fan club in Russia and travel to watch United regularly.
Love travel, especially in Europe and Russia.
One of the recent interests is motorhomes, considering living in one for a year or two.

Music, Movies, and Books

Continuing on the UK topic, my favourite TV series is Doctor Who (quintessentially British!)
Music: from classical and classic rock (like Pink Floyd, Queen and Dire Straits) to indie. Don't like rap and heavy metal, very selctive in pop.
Books: depending on current interests.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quite a few, it's pretty difficult to pick one.
So I will probably say that one amazing thing I've done was spending a few years working as a school teacher (my first job after uni) - an absolutely fantastic experience I often miss! Working with kids is great and I'm glad that now my job allows me to enjoy an occasional role as a guide for a group of children on a Harry Potter tour or a knights-themed itinerary during our trips to the UK.

Teach, Learn, Share

My first experience of teaching was teaching English to kids and adults alike, still do that on an occasional basis.
Since I started working professionally with British pub culture, I have become a very knowledgeable guide specializing in UK breweries and distilleries and often host interesting tastings of various ales and whiskies.
As an enthusiastic entrepreneur, I use any opportunity to share and learn useful knowledge on my current professional interests, such as start-ups, crowdfunding and crowdinvesting, shared economy, etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

All kinds of things from a bottle of rare whisky to professional help within my level of expertise. And most importantly, time and amazing emotions.
