Apparently a DNA test says that I'm 74% Chinese + Vietnamese, 20% Mongolian, 4% Japanese + Korean, and 2% Finnish. Anyhow, I'm a piece of the universe that somehow turned conscious and curious. Still trying to find my place among the stars:)

I grew up in China, lived in the US and UK before moving to Sweden. Just finished a PhD on gravitational waves ("ripples of spacetime") from the very early universe, when it was a fraction of a second old. In the future I'll most likely stay on this planet, but perhaps in a different country -- haven't decided where to settle just yet.

How the universe works is deeply fascinating to me. I enjoy exploring the universe with science. Besides work, I also dabble in fiction writing, data visualisation, and photography (of mostly architecture and nature) when I travel.

Used to read a whole bunch of history and philosophy. Now mostly sci-fi (U. K. Le Guin, A. Clarke, A. Bester, T. Chiang, P. Watts, etc.).
