Hey! I'm Yuval, twenty-four years old, currently working as a video-journalist and studying linguistics and cinema in Jerusalem :) (Spanish after English... Un intento de escribir en español abajo)

My biggest passion in life is languages. I feel that when I speak a new language, my identity changes, and I love this feeling of growing bigger from within. Learning a new language for me involves a lot of empathy, as you 'copy' the way people phrase themselves and pronounce things... these are actually the two biggest reasons I love to travel: learning languages and meeting people.

In Jerusalem, I am a political activist. My work as a video-journalist is often related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, alongside power dynamics in society, militarism and gender. I hope that through my journalist and documentary work I can influence a more equal, non-violent situation for Israelis and Palestinians.

Other than that, I love music (I play the piano and the guitar) and acting. I studied a bit of acting when I was younger, and though after that I figured out I am not so good at it (nobody believed me when I acted) - I still love to do it haha :)

Y ahora voy a intentar escribir en español! La verdad es que empese a estudiar español hace un año y entonces no se comunicar muy bien... pero:

Me llamo Yuval, tengo 24 años y soy un estudiante de cinema y linguistics en jerusalem! Mi trabajo es como un periodistica y hago articulos de video :)

Mi mayor pasion en la vida es estudiar idiomas. Cuando estudio un idioma nuevo, siento como estoy cambiando, y cuando hablo en diferentes idiomas siento como tengo diferentas personalidadas segun cada idioma! Me gusta este sentimiento de expandirse desde dentro... y tambien el proceso de estudiar requiere empatia para copiar y imitar la manera de hablar... Para mi, estas son las dos mayores razones para viajar: estudiar idioms y conocer a otras personas.

Soy un activista politico en Jerusalem. Espero que a través de mi trabajo como periodista de videos, pueda crear un futuro mejor e igual en mi tierra. Si estas interesado en la politica de Israel-Palestine, seguramente que puedo compartir contigo mis experiencias :)

Tambien, me gusta cantar y hacer musica (se tocar al piano y la guitarra)! Estudiaba actuacion un poco en el pasado, y me encanta actuar, pero descubri que no soy un buen actor haha (sin embargo - todavia me gusta actuar)

Y es todo! Mi plan es viajar a españa durante un mes para divertirse y mejorar mi español en febrero... Si me puedes hospedar estaré agradecido :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked as a teacher in a bi-lingual kindergarten in Israel where Palestinian and Israeli kids study together. It was a very powerful experience for me, and it really helped me become fluent in Arabic as well.
