About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel every country I know of

ABOUT ME

That is a tough question... all about me - in a few sentences... however I will try.

Actually I love to get to know new people and I have a passion for travelling. Anything anyone spends time with is interesting for me. Though I am not very talented regarding arts, art and music inspire me. With writing I am more skilled, but I only write, when I am pushed to it ^_^. Thus I like to write essays or term papers at the university. I enjoy reading. Dostojewski is an author I like a lot (I read "Crime and Punishment" [even in Russian :D] and "Insulted and Injured", both were great!). Recently I am reading criminal suspense.

Now I just got started, but I don´t wanna bore you, so just contact me - I will be glad to tell you more about myself.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life as I like, respecting others while expressing myself

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spread the word :)). Wherever I travel I tell people about CS.

Interests

sport (swimming, cycling, some acrobatics), reading (as already mentioned Irving, Dostojewski, Andrew Taylor, Ken Follet), movies (especially psychological thrillers), psychology, music (all kinds of it), theatre (I love Shakespeare), many many other

Music, Movies, and Books

Music... I listen to a lot of music - rock, oldies, classical, sometimes pop :P. It is, however, not possible to pin myself down to one particular style of music, as I really listen to a great variety of music ;).

The same can be told about movies, some of my favorite movies are Equilibrium, Chocolate, From Hell, ... but I love to watch all kinds of movies and am always happy to go to cinemas all around the world.

Books... as mentioned above, at the moment I read contemporary English literature like Tayor and Follet. I plan to start reading Russian literature, though yet I could not motivate myself...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am totally amazed by the Russian hospitality and the general openness of the people (to all skeptics: I am aware of the fact that this might well be connected to the fact that I am a foreigner ;)). If you wanna know more, just ask me - I have loads of anecdotes to tell :D.

Teach, Learn, Share

I study linguistics and have some experience as a teacher of English, thus I could teach German and English.
I play lots of card games and I love to teach them to other people (poker, canasta, romme, durak, ...)
I learn to teach writing (sounds silly, but its a nice thing)
I love to read things someone wrote (essays, homework, etc.) and I love to share things I wrote
I wanna learn whatever you have to offer, just talking in English or Russian already means a great deal to me, as I adore both languages.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belarus, Czech Republic, Italy, Poland, Russian Federation, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
