My name is Yvette and I'm a third-year Economics student in Boston, MA. I grew up in northern Florida and spent much of my childhood traveling domestically and internationally experiencing different cultures and appreciating nature everywhere! I am an International Studies and Economics double major with a minor in Business! I was a varsity athlete on the swim team and have been involved in athletics my entire life! I love meeting new people and seeing new places! This past summer I spent 2 months living in Hong Kong, SAR China and spent 3 weeks after my internship backpacking around Southeast Asia by myself. I am now starting my semester studying abroad in Montpellier, France to do language immersion and will be traveling around Southern France and Morocco for a month prior to the beginning of my classes.

As I said before, I love traveling and meeting new people and am looking for a way to do both of those things without breaking the bank. My mom and I have been very involved with Couchsurfing for years and we share a joint account (see Bonnie and Yvette), but as I am in college now I have my own account to be a part of this community and travel freely.

Intereses

I love living in Massachusetts so close to Boston. I love going into the city and enjoying the Commons and trying new food. I have a passion for traveling and seeing the rest of the world through the eyes of locals. I love nature and the outdoors and have spent much of my life kayaking, hiking, backpacking, sailing, biking etc. I am also interested in environmental conservation and a healthy lifestyle. I have been vegetarian for 8 years and remain true to this 90% of the time. I have been a competitive varsity swimmer for 5 years and am dedicated to fitness. My goal is to become fluent in French in the next few years and am adore studying abroad.

I like a wide range of music; everything from Bob Marley to Anderson Paak and Belly to Kygo to Jack Johnson and Pink Floyd. As for movies, I love Quentin Tarantino films and The Butterfly Effect is one of my favorites as well.

I've backpacked the Cirques of Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean. I spent a month solo traveling through Thailand and Cambodia this past summer, hiking incredible trails and meeting cool people!

I am extremely easy going and talkative. I love a good conversation and am not a picky eater (other than being vegetarian), nor do I have a problem sharing bathroom, kitchen and living spaces. I can sleep anywhere and take short showers and am a very clean person.
I will usually be traveling with someone one of my good friends who are intelligent, funny and kind in every way. I am very outgoing and open minded!
