Overview
About Me
I'm a very bubbly, friendly person and i'm always up for an adventure. I adore animals, cooking and the outdoors and I love meeting new people and making friends. I think everyone has something interesting to say and I love getting to know people and their stories. I've got a very easy going personality and I don't mind being out of my comfort zone and trying new things.
I'm currently doing an internship, writing for a media outlet which focuses on good news stories and I have a passion for social justice. I volunteer at a riding for the disabled horse riding centre and spend most of my spare time coaching riders or re-training horses to be used in the school.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm planning on volunteering at the global citizen festival in Johannesburg on December 2, 2018 and would love to meet some people familiar to the city who would be keen to hang out. I'm also looking for somewhere to stay and would be happy to pay some board etc. for somewhere to crash close to the FNB stadium.
I would really like to host one day, but unfortunately where I am currently renting in Perth is not suitable to have surfers.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is mixed, I like things from multiple genres and eras.
I enjoy Tarantino type films, I don't really enjoy standard hollywood, I prefer something that's more thoughtful...the exception to this rule is horror, which I just love. I'm also an avid fan of documentaries, provided they use good and objective reporting.
My book taste is also mixed, I like fantasy but often find myself reading more non-fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I won a scholarship to attend a leadership conference in Vietnam in 2016 and was then selected to help run the conference with over 700 delegates from around the world. Being in Vietnam was one of the best experiences of my life, I met such an eclectic group of people and found I built beautiful relationships with people I would have never thought I had anything in common with.
The best night was the final night where I took a group of newly found friends which included a refugee from Iraq, a gun loving chicken farmer from Texas, A Canadian man in an electric wheelchair, Australian's, Malaysian's, UAE nationals and many more, to a club where we met up with some Vietnamese locals we had made friends with. The night ended with us on the roof of a hotel drinking champagne watching the sun rise.
