ABOUT ME
Hi Everyone!
My name is Yvonne and I am a Dutch girls who is 20 years old. I am a student studying Econometrics and Operations Research at the University of Groningen. Groningen is a fun city in the north of the Netherlands which has a lot of bars, clubs, students and bikes!
I've always liked travelling with my family. I've been to England, Belgium, France, Spain, Luxembourg, Germany, Danmark and the USA.
And this summer I travelled by myself for the first time. I've been backpacking in Thailand for three weeks. That was a great experience!
I would describe myself as a friendly, outgoing person.
I like to go out with friends, organising events for my studyassociation and playing basketbal.
I made a Couchsurfing profile to find oppertunities for travelling to nearby fun cities and meet new people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in Groningen, which is a great city in the north of the Netherlands. Currently I can't host cause I don't have a spare room availible.
But I am excited to see if there are any people who I can show around the city and I will search to find any couchsurfing oppertunities in the cities that are on my bucket list!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have no experience in couchsurfing yet!
Interests
I've always liked acting and I have been in every schoolplay I could possibly be in! I played quitar for a while but found out I am not very good at that. This year I started playing basketball which I really like!
- acting
- clubbing
- traveling
- backpacking
- basketball
Music, Movies, and Books
I really enjoy watching movies. I am really into romcoms and chickflicks, but I also like movies with a little bit of actions. Some of my favorites are:
- the notebook
- the impossible
- just like heaven
I like reading too. But I don't do it enough due to lack of time. One of my favorite books is 'Long Lost' by Harlan Coben, he is a great writer of detectives!
I am planning on reading books from John Green (in English, English book translated in Dutch are more often not as great as the originals). I just read some quotes of some of he's books and I expect he's a great writer. So if there are any books from him you can recommend, let me know!
