ABOUT ME

I'm quite open-minded and relaxed, I tend to procrastinate things I have to do until the last minute they can be done. :-) I like science and I like to learn new things. I'm a computer programmer and generally get along quite good with all technological things. I like going to concerts and open airs, I am mainly in love with metal music but also like lots of other stuff.

PHILOSOPHY

I am an atheist but am fine with other people having some kind of religious believe, as it is for most people an emotional and not a rational decision in what they believe. I have a deterministic/compatibilistic believe about the world: I believe that there is no >general< free will because we are all bound by laws of nature on a physical level, but everybody has an >own< free will because your own free will is determined by the person that you are, otherwise it would not be >your< own free will but just a random decision based on probabilistic events. In other words: The person that you are, the decisions that you make, the feelings that you have are determined by laws of nature. But this does not change the fact that it is still you that feels and decides. And thus you are responsible for your decisions because they are based on your own free will. But of cause this compatibilistic view I have is just an ontological subtlety in a certain sense and I am quite happy that other people have totally different views about the world.

But maybe you just wanted to read something more straight to the point? My personal philosophy: live and let live.
