About Me

Hi! I moved to England at the end of last year from the U.S.. I lived in Oregon and Washington until then where the weather is actually pretty similar. Like to think of myself as a nice guy who is down to earth and enjoys life. I can be a bit shy or reserved but I'm also very passionate and quickly connect with people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on here to meet hosts at the moment and host myself in the future. I like meeting new people and getting to know them. I've always been interested in the communal types of living although ironically I can be a bit shy and introverted at first. I love meeting people from all sorts of life and feel like an exchange of anything be in intangible like stories and good company or dishes, cooking, gas money etc in exchange for a place to stay. I'm also pagan and believe in karma and paying it forward.

Interests

In no particular order.

Drinking coffee, good food, hiking, urban exploring, architecture, math (I know, I'm a geek), friendship, love, movies, video games, old school movie theaters, forests, activism, volunteering, my dog (who lives in Oregon).

I'm about to start my professional journey after being a student (for far too long!) so that's where my focus is at the moment. In a few years I'd like to settle down and all that white picket fence stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've gone skydiving. I'd love to go again.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe there is an important host/guest dynamic especially in a situation like this. I've stayed in a lot of hostels so I know a lot about sharing a space with new people. I'm highly independent and will most likely be away during the day but in the shared time I would be respectful, help with chores if needed, clean up after myself, wash dishes, watch pets (I love dogs particularly!), etc.

I love a good conversation (especially if you like nerdy stuff like Game of Thrones) mostly about life and stuff. I like going to walks and making new friends.
