I’m 34 and I’m from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Liverpool in England (which is in the United Kingdom (UK) 🇬🇧). Of course my city is famously known as the home town of the music band 🎶 The Beatles and for its ⚽️ Football Club in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Anfield, Merseyside.

I am not from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 London like the app/website states. There’s a bug in the system, I’ve tried updating the app, saving and refreshing, changing it in browsers, it still reverts back to 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 London. I have asked 🚩Couch-surfing if they can help, they are looking into it.
However. I have lived in Kings Cross before.

I would describe myself as emotionally intelligent, outgoing and find it easy to get along with others. I am very respectful and polite, the way I was raised. I will never judge or disrespect others.

Sometimes people find my behaviour annoying because I may say things like ‘Sorry’ too much, but I’d rather be polite than disrespectful. I also have a calm, caring and loving nature. ❤️ Basically, I’m a big softie at heart. 🧸 I can also be quite romantic, but of course that’s not really relevant to couch-surfing. Just a random fact about me.

🚫 Another thing about me, is that I don’t judge others based on their race, religion, sexuality or gender.
I believe we are all equal human beings and should be treated as such. 🕊 So, if you’re racist, xenophobic, homophobic, biphobic or transphobic, the likely hood of us getting along is quite slim. ☹️

Im a Vegan (Vegano) 🌱 of 5 years, and prior to that I was a Vegetarian 🌱 for 12 years. I love and care about the welfare of animals 🐘. I also care about the planet. 🌍 However that being said, I am not a 🪖Militant Vegan 🌱 and I would never judge what others choose to eat or wear. I believe in the freedom of choice. 💪🏻

I am 🏳️‍🌈 LGBTQ2+ friendly.
I myself identify as 💖💛💙 Pansexual and 💙💚🧡❤️ Panromantic (Which means: I am attracted to people sexually and romantically regardless of their sex/gender). You could sort of argue it’s more about the heart and the connection, than who’s got what body parts.
Even though I identify as Pan, I’ve only had experiences so far with Men.

I support trans people and have many friends who are trans. 🏳️‍⚧️

🍑 I’ve no problem with Nudism, so don’t be afraid to host me if you’re a Nudist. I am comfortable being clothed or naked. But I do confess that it is relaxing and I feel free to be without clothes. 🛏 I sometimes enjoy sleeping naked at home too.

⛔️ You’d probably be shocked if you knew what the Victory sign (putting two fingers forward at someone) means in my country. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Oops!
I see so many people using it and even at me (but I will ask you kindly to not do that). Not going to make an issue over pics of it, that doesn’t phase me, but to my face is a bit of a no no .🤪 It basically means something extremely offensive where I’m from. So, if you don’t know, you do now 😬😂 haha.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whilst I openly admit that of course 🚩CouchSurfing is a convenient way to save a little on expenses (enabling more opportunities to visit more or the world), I also love the idea of the community as a whole. The world needs more kindness in it and that’s exactly the heart and soul of what CouchSurfing provides. Sharing together and learning from each other. Whether it’s experiences, cultures, support, guidance, education, hospitality or just hanging out. It’s a fantastic way of living and a new way to open opportunities to everyone.

I would love the experience to meet new people who I can share new experiences with. 💜 I’m easy going, friendly and compassionate by nature. I am not only an empath, but also very compassionate, so I am more than happy to support and listen to you if you are facing any problems and just need to lend an ear 👂🏻.

Travelling alone (as I will be) is also lonely 😔, so I could really do with good company to put it bluntly 🙂. Hopefully I can make some friendships and unforgettable memories during my experience on Couchsurfing.

🚩 Couchsurfing hangouts in 🇦🇹 Vienna showed me just how hostile and rude some people in the world can be. Many rejected my requests to join their hangout, despite the fact I was close by and they were not hanging out with anyone. Nor did anyone join my hangout, except one person who then ignored all my messages. So of course, not everyone is friendly on couchsurfing. However I still have faith that the gift of being kind is mostly alive on here.

If I’ve learnt anything about people, it’s not to rely on them for your own happiness. It sucks when people mess you around, use you or promise to hang out with you but make other plans and/or don’t include you.
So… I’ve learnt that it’s important to stand on my own two feet and learnt to enjoy my own company too. Even if it’s just walking around alone and taking in the scenery.

But of course, I am always happy to meet new faces and exchange stories and experiences with them. I know there’s nice people out there who want to socialise, so they are always welcome to say hello. I could do with the extra company if I’m honest.

⛔️ Important to remember: Couch-surfing is not a hook up site/app such as Tinder/Grindr ❗️and I have no intention to use it as one. I hope that my hosts understand that and have the same thought process. While I can’t deny that some people have natural attraction and chemistry (which I have no problem with), hosting someone with that intent from the get go isn’t really acceptable or the concept of what couch-surfing is about.

Unfortunately I found myself with a bad host and it was very rapey and uncomfortable. 😞 For me consent is very important and so to have that expectation in place isn’t something I’m comfortable with. Everything should be natural. So please don’t pressure me into sex just because you may host me. It’s not fair that to put anyone in that situation. 👍🏻

🏠 Regarding Hosting:

😔 Unfortunately, I can’t accommodate at the moment. Otherwise, I would love to offer you a place to stay. I live with family currently and we don’t really have the room to spare, plus with my nephew coming over to stay occasionally it’s not ideal. So, I’m really sorry about that. I’m also travelling 🌍 Europe at the moment, so I’m not in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Liverpool currently either.

When I am back 🏡 home, I intend to find my own place and when I do so, it will be another scenario. Then I will be more than happy to accommodate guests and try to give back what others has been given to me. 😀

It would probably be an accurate description if you were to label me a geek. 🤓

I have many interests, but mainly cooking (not that I’m professional or a chef, by any means, but it’s fun to experienment)🍴, gaming 👾 (especially Pokémon 🍃⚡️🔥💦, Life Is Strange, Animal Crossing and Fortnite 💣🔫), singing 🎤, song writing ✍️, listening to music 🎶 , cuddling ❤️, sight seeing 🌅, movies 🎥 , Television shows 📺 (specifically Sci-Fi, Comic and apocalyptic shows. The Walking Dead, Lost, Star Trek: Voyager, The 100, Gotham, Supergirl and The Flash are amongst my favourites), socialising 🗣 and learning new skills 🧠.

▪️ I did start writing my own 📕 Novel and was on 8 chapters, but unfortunately my laptop was stolen from me. 😔 Someone stole my suitcase from a train. 😫 So, I lost everything and now I have writers block after rewriting 3 chapters. So, I’m not sure I will continue. 😟

▪️In 2023, I plan to start working on my music. I have already written for 2 EP’s (which I plan to title: Reflection & Infected) and 3 albums (which I plan to title: Make Your Way, Shattered Dreams and Revitalise.)

Music, Movies, and Books

🎥 My favourite movie of all time is The Craft (1996), featuring Robin Tunney, Neve Campbell, Rachel True and Fairuza Balk. 🧙‍♀️
If you haven’t seen it, you should definitely check it out. That’s if you’re into the whole supernatural/ witchcraft type films. What I love about the movie is that each character goes through their own experiences and emotions and the movie is not afraid to be bold at times.
The story follows Sarah, an outcast at a new school who finds a new group of friends, who she makes a covern with. Everything is going great until they turn against her because she disagrees with their behaviour.

💜 I have the special edition on DVD. I also have a signed poster which includes all the main cast, except Robin Tunney.

My second favourite film is Carrie (1976) featuring Sissy Spacek, John Travolta and Amy Irving. 🩸
I mean, what can I say? It’s a classic, historic and I’m sure very well known. Carrie is an outcast, a victim, a loner and appears very vulnerable. You really feel bad for her as she is tormented by her crazed Christian mother and nasty teenage classmates on a daily basis. Carrie learns that she has telekinetic powers and begins practicing with them, but eventually loses self control and burns down her school, forcing everyone to pay for their actions, followed by killing both herself and her mother at her home. Sue Snell survives, but is later riddled with the guilt that she bullied her.

💚 I have all 4 Carrie Movies: Carrie (1967), The Rage: Carrie 2 (1999), Carrie (2002) and Carrie (2013) on DVD.

🦇 Batman movies are also some of my favourite movies to watch. I am a huge DC fan and have huge collection of movies from 1966-Present, including Cartoon movies.
I am yet to purchase The Batman (2022) on DVD, but will do to add to my collection. What I really liked about the current Batman movie is that it was filmed in my city (Liverpool) and that it focused more on the detective side of things, rather than just the action. Whilst I am aware that Batman films are action packed. It’s also good to see movies that relate more to the main comic stories and so I thought this one really did that well. Aside from that, I really loved The Dark Knight (2008). I think it’s by far my favourite Batman movies and I have to say it included a phenomenal performance from Heath Ledger (Joker).

💅🏻 I also love Mean Girls (2003) featuring Lindsay Lohan, Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert. Again, it’s such a classic.
What I love about Mean Girls, is whilst the comedy is on point, it really is a realistic look on school life and how certain cliques and groups form. The story follows an outcast South African girl named Cady Heron, who goes from being ‘home schooled jungle freak’ (quote from the movie) to starting life in a New School (North Shore High) in Illinois, America and becoming extremely popular. She finds herself with two groups of friends who are Arch enemies both leaders playing antagonist characters - Regina George and Janis Ian. Eventually Cady finds herself as the new leader (Queen bee) of her new friends and realises she’s not the perfect girl she always thought she was. The film is full of memorable quotes and life lessons. From being careful who you chose friends with, not letting people dictate, change or control you, learning to be independent, not letting people stop you doing your thing and to being true to yourself. It’s a really fun filled movie and I promise even if you’re not a fan of chick flicks, this movie will not be a let down.

▪️Au Pairing in 🇮🇹 Italy - Teaching Children English.
▪️Being supportive to my friends 💜.

▪️Survived West Nile Fever 🦟 that I caught in 🇮🇹 Ancona, Italy and later recovered from an identity crisis due to it, in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Liverpool, England 🤪.
▪️ Met 3 people with the same Birthday 🎂🐟.

So I asked him if he speaks English (in 🇩🇪/🇦🇹 German).🤦🏼‍♂️ He looked so confused and that’s when I realised the mistake I’d made. No, this isn’t an amazing thing I’ve done; more a stupid one; but oh well, I can laugh about it. 🤣
