About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Exploring new cultures and people to open up my experience of non-Western places.
ABOUT ME
Hi everyone! My name is Zac. I'm 29, Australian by birth but also British by nationality. I am from London, UK where I finished studying a degree in Philosophy, Religion and Ethics (I got First Class Honours). I really enjoy these topics and love a good discussion on what people think and believe about themselves and the world. I identify as Buddhist. I am also a gay man, so if you are uncomfortable with that, please don't host me or ask for me to host you.
I'm a really friendly guy and a very courteous guest with impeccable manners and hygiene (my mum has taught me well!). So I will be nothing but a pleasure to host, I assure you. :) I have hosted before at my family's place in London, and now I live in South Korea, I am planning to open my apartment to visitors when I can prepare a guest space.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted people here before in London and it was a good experience, so now I'm looking to stay with others overseas. I'm heading to Thailand from the 24th to the 31st of August, 2018.
Interests
I love music and am into music production, mostly electronic music. I like to play games, especially card and board games (which I also design). I have worked as an English teacher in Seoul for 3 years and now I am a full-time textbook writer and editor with a company that produces materials for young Korean children to learn at home.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a fan of fantasy fiction and sci-fi, but I'm usually reading non-fiction about philosophy, history, that kind of thing.
I like all kinds of films too but I love documentaries and international cinema the most. Edgy, psychological, thriller-type films are my favourite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting my degree was a huge moment in my life so far, and also moving to Seoul, South Korea.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure I have many skills others would want to learn - I can explain Buddhist philosophy and history, modern Korean history, and the history of Western philosophy quite lucidly, though!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A friendly, enjoyable guest who won't want to just use your bed and leave - if you'd like to hang out, chat, or have some quiet drinks and conversation at home, I'd love that too! Whatever you'd prefer. I can get out of your hair whenever you want me to as well, if you prefer that or have other commitments.
