ABOUT ME

I'm an outgoing person, who loves meeting new people and having good time with them. I enjoy just as much doing extreme sports as enjoying a good meal with a glass of nice wine in a good company. You can easily find me going out with friends during the weekends, sitting in a bar or cafe, or dancing salsa (cuban style).

I love all kinds of sports and I like to go out and experience new things when ever possible. My favorite sports are climbing, running and biking. I also have a dog, her name is Pinja. She is a rottweiler and we often make long excursions into the woods with her. I've also trained obedience and rescue with her.

PHILOSOPHY

Take a deep breath. Forget your glorious plans. Accept the craziness of your life. Do what you can do now. Let go of everything else. And make peace with what is.

In other words, I pretty much live in the moment and most often you'll find me smiling :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing, hosting and getting to know the wonders of this world. I'm a pretty good cook, so I like to return favors by tossing up a really nice meal.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience surfing was in 2010, when I traveled couple of weeks in California. I have also tried my best to be active back home in Finland but not too many surfers there. I've met some great people though and showed them my lovely home country, even though I haven't been able to host at all times.
I really enjoy meeting other surfers and sharing the experiences in life.

Music, Movies, and Books

The most recent books that I really enjoyed were The world without end and The pillars of the earth by Ken Follet.
I like all kinds of music but Salsa and other latin is my music of choice along some occasional jazz, funk and classical. And I love live performances.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being an exchange student during high school. What an amazing and life changing experience.
Mountain climbing at the dolomites in Italy.
Dancing salsa in Havana, Cuba.
Hiking through the wilderness in Finnish Lapland during mid summer, when it's 24 hours sun light.
Biking and hitchhiking through Europe in five days.
Living under the Tuscany sun.
Road tripping by myself around California.
Participating in a BBQ competition.
... there's never just "one" amazing in my life...

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll be more than happy to take you out salsa dancing and teach you about the joy of dancing.
As already said, I like to cook, so I would love to share my kitchen with my guests and learn about all the wonderful food that only travelers can know about.
But most of all I would like to learn what your story is. I believe that's one of the best things we can share in this fine community.
