About Me

I’m a 25 year old NYC native and Georgetown grad. I just returned from a year living and teaching English in Israel and a summer leading middle school students in South America. Next month (jan 2020) I begin teaching bilingual special education in a Brooklyn public elementary school.

I write poetry. I love animals. I love to read and write and sing. Long car trips are fun when you have a great playlist. I love exploring new places and people. I speak Spanish and a little Portuguese and Hebrew. My instagram is Zachary_af

Let’s talk!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find that meeting locals is the most beautiful thing about exploring new places 🌅 and ecosystems

Movies: Pretty woman, my cousin Vinny, stepmom, Parent trap (Lindsay Lohan version), An Education, The Help, School of Rock, Matilda, Doubt (my favorite play as well), 500 Days of Summer, Titanic, Freaky Friday (another Lindsay Lohan version), Up In the Air, so many more!

Music: pop, folk, country. Anything that tells a story or gets me dancing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve been to about 50 countries so far - but surprisingly am new to Couch Surfing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am fluent in Spanish and know a little Portuguese and Hebrew

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to sing, I make awesome playlists and pick the best snacks (if we want to road trip?!). I studied Spanish, psychology, and history and I read and write a lot - mostly nonfiction: history, science books, memoirs, poetry. I also write music - if you’re into music maybe we can have a jam session!
