Overview
About Me
I've been living in Madison WI for about 2 years now. I majored in Philosophy, now I work at a software company. It's fun to think how philosophy helps you with software.
I love meeting new people, going to live shows, and just shooting the shit. I can also find the nearest hidden hole-in-the-wall restaurant with just my nose. Gimme a bike and I'll map the whole city. Beer and all fermented foods are fun. I've probably pickled some stuff I shouldn't have pickled.
Sometimes I do my research about a new destination and have a map in my back pocket. Other times I just wing it. Both are cool.
I've spent summers interning in Portland, OR and Washington DC
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been helped by locals in the past, and I want to give back. I also want to travel more, so I'll be counting on those locals again in the near future. Also, the couchsurfing community seems awesome (duh). Time to join the community.
Interests
The internet (aka youtube), biking, exploring new cities, foreign movies, software/programming, hiking, good conversation, new/foreign/interesting/spicy food. I suppose eventually I want to make something/do something that will help people. Just not sure what that is yet.

I like all music, really. Love learning about what's new and what's interesting, and sharing what music I may be into at the moment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've gone dumpster diving. It was not bad.
