I am a musician (sing and and play guitar) from Kansas. I love going on adventures and meeting interesting new people, and though I'm a little introverted, there's nothing I love more than meeting new people and getting to know people and sharing stories.

I currently work part time at a coffee shop in Hutchinson and play guitar and sing in an indie/alt rock band (just to be sure I cover all the hipster cliches). The band just started out a year ago and I invest most of my time and energy into songwriting and promotion so that we can be successful enough to make music for a living some day. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined because I'm planning on doing a little more traveling over the next few years and a friend told me that she and her husband had had great experiences and made life long friends through couch surfing. It seems like a way less expensive and (more importantly) more interesting and fulfilling way to travel and I'm stoked to jump in.

Interests

I love music: about any and every genre or style, as long as it's good, compelling art. (I know a lot of people say they "listen to everything", but I legitimately do enjoy just about any kind of good music from Kendrick Lamar to Underoath to Willie Nelson and everything in between and I'm always down to discover something new).

I love books, poetry, films, plays, photography and anything creative and artistic that comes from a place of sincerity and hard work.

I love trying new and different types of food and drink. I love anything spicy. I love cajun food and KC Barbecue. I just turned 21 and I'm just starting to learn about alcohol and develop a taste for it, so I'm always down to try new different drinks.

I love learning from other people and sharing stories and experiences. I love stimulating philosophical conversation with people who may hold different world-views than my own, but I being able to relate to people regardless of our differences and find common ground and learn new things and expand my worldview.
