Sobre mí

After high school I joined the US Navy and served for seven years. Luckily, my experience was not too bad, but it wasn't my style.

After my service, I knocked out some college while enjoying San Diego. For a little over a year I lived out of an RV; it remains one of my fondest memories. I will never forget the feeling of freedom each day choosing to wake up inland near the wilderness or on the bay by the beach.

Now I'm in Marietta, GA back near my hometown where I am a bartender and a student working towards my doctorate in chiropractic.

I love learning new things, meeting different kinds of people, and working on increasing the quality of my consciousness. A lot of my spare time is consumed studying philosophy, psychology, spirituality, history, even some conspiracy and cryptocurrency research.

When I first moved back to Georgia, I started FreeYourMindGA.com, a meetup.com hosted group. We haven't been as active in 2017, but occasionally we meet up to discuss interesting topics. Sometimes we screen a documentary and discuss it over dinner. I'm also a co-host of the No Master, No Slave podcast at NoMasterNoSlave.com.

Well that's the meat and potatoes--oh yeah, I also don't eat meat. Though, I'm not judgmental or pretentious about it at all. It started out as a body experiment and now, three years in, I feel amazing.

Thanks for reading!

Música, películas y libros

Music:
Tool, even though the genre is not my style. If there was a Pandora station for Tool, I'd probably hate it. Tool stands alone for me as something magical. The depth and complexity moves me. I only listen to Tool when I'm ready to get super deep. I appreciate all styles of music, I typically like the Coachella line up if that gives you an idea.

Movies:
I'm a sucker for a good allegory. For example, I had only a slight appreciation for The Matrix trilogy before I watched the presentation The Matrix De-coded by Mark Passio. Now, I'm obsessed with it's message. I don't watch too much movie or TV these days. I did catch the OA on Netflix and was impressed. And I think the Black Mirror series is brilliant.

Books:
Okay, so here's the deal. I've read a decent amount of books and have learned so much, but my confession is that almost 100% of what I've read has been non-fiction. I can already tell that I'm going to fall in love with some fiction pretty soon. I'll list some of my favorite non-fiction:
The Kybalion, by The Three Initiates
The End Of All Evil, by Jeremy Locke
Manifesto of the Free Humans, by John Vibes and Derrick Broze
My Bit TOE, by Tom Campbell
The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle
Tragedy and Hope 101, by Joseph Plummer
The Four Hour Body, by Tim Ferris
The Four Hour Work Week, by Tim Ferris
The Energy Machine of Joseph Newman, by Joseph Newman
Getting Things Done, by David Allen
Perfectibilists: The 18th Century Bavarian Order of the Illuminati, by Terry Melanson
