About Me

I believe that life is an adventure and ought to be lived that way. I hold respect in the highest of regards; respect for the Earth, all beings, and oneself. I'm easy-going and open-minded, and I enjoy making new friends. What I'm most interested in this life is cultivating peace within myself and working for peace in communities and humanity at large.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm seeking to do the couchsurfing thing because I'd like to travel at as little cost as possible and also to meet new people! I'm a minimalist and some floor space is really all I need, though I would certainly accept some couch space. I'll have my sleeping pad and bag with me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love music and listen to the full spectrum. Earlier today I was listening to Elephant Revival, Rising Appalachia, Trevor Hall, Xavier Rudd, and later some electronic like Odesza, Big Gigantic, STS9, Bassnectar and right now I'm listening to Umphrey's McGee.
Movies: I love Wes Anderson films, all of them, The Grand Budapest Hotel is my favorite. I can get into any decent film though, just saw Everest at the theater, that was intense.
Books: I just read The Stranger by Albert Camus and Siddhartha by Herman Hesse this week. Really good reads. Some of my favorites off hand, Ishmael by Daniel Quinn, Cloud Atlas, Island by Aldous Huxley.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived 25 years and I've done a lotta things, some of them quite impressive. I suppose 'amazing' depends on where you're looking from, and I'll leave it at that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have much to teach, learn, and share.
