Overview
About Me
I graduated from university in May, traveled throughout Europe over the summer, and have been living in Amman, Jordan since then. In Jordan I volunteer at a hotel in exchange for food and accommodation. It's been awesome improving my Arabic while learning about the local culture and history. I spend my free time in Amman hanging out at various shops and restaurants, talking with guests from around the world, reading nonfiction, and trying to improve my Arabic.
I'm a social guy with a deep interest in U.S. foreign policy, which stems from a broader interest in other countries and different cultures. Above all, I love a good conversation about any topic. It's important to talk with people about stuff beyond the weather and other day-to-day things because this is how you truly get to know someone.
If I'm not working or trying to learn, I love to party and explore the outdoors. I don't party as much as I used to in the U.S. but I still enjoy a nice cold beer!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to meet new people and explore new countries/cultures in a different way. I seek a local perspective instead of the standard cookie-cutter hotel/hostel experience. I want to see how locals live and what life is like for them.
