About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We have an insatiable appetite for travel and have decided to venture 'vagabond' style around the world for a year or two. A trip of this magnitude requires quite a bit of planning and budgeting. We will take full advantage of many countries dependable network of hostels, stay with any friends or family abroad and even camp in accommodating locations. Couchsurfing will allow us to experience your country through its greatest asset, its people! While tourist attractions are enjoyable, it's the hidden gems, the locals only spots, the everyday life of a new place that interests us. In turn, we hope that by hosting guests, we can give them the same unique experience in the great city of Denver!
Interests
We enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking and camping in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. We often find ourselves exploring new places while on random adventures. Whether it's wandering through a museum or art gallery, sampling new cuisine or imbibing at one of Colorado's many craft breweries, we live the motto 'variety is the spice of life!' I, Zach, have a growing collection of cigars and Scotch whiskey while Amanda enjoys experimenting with different styles and ingredients in the kitchen.

Music, Movies, and Books
We enjoy music from just about every genre, classical to country, rock to rap.
Comedies and action flicks rank high on our list, with the occasional thriller thrown in, for suspense.
Our bookshelf currently houses a varied collection. Inspirational and motivational books such as Wild At Heart, The Quitter and The 4 Hour Work Week are shelved along side fictional manuscripts like The Giver, Dinner With A Perfect Stranger and The Shack.
Rolf Potts' Vagabonding has become the manual that will accompany us on all our future travels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have climbed 23 of Colorado's highest peaks, all measuring over 14,000 feet.
Teach, Learn, Share
We will allow our travels to broaden our horizons, deepen our respect for our fellow man and open our eyes to all the wonders of this diverse and beautiful planet.
"Travel is rebellion in its purest form. We follow our hearts. We free ourselves of labels. We lose control willingly. We trade routine for reality. We love the unfamiliar. We trust strangers. We own only what we can carry. We search for better questions, not answers. We truly graduate. Sometimes, we choose never to come back."
What I Can Share with Hosts
We hope to share our love for adventure and our appreciation for different cultures with those that choose to host us.
