About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience and enjoy life and wild places. There's a whole world out there - full of amazing people, new places, other ways of life. I don't see any reason to remain anchored in one spot for my whole time on this crazy little rock of a planet, and while I'm here in Bellingham I'd like to experience as much as possible.

ABOUT ME

A nice guy, I've done some traveling and have no fear of the road or remote places. I'm most comfortable in a forest, or some remote shore away from crowds.

PHILOSOPHY

Every day is a new opportunity to learn and grow, meet new people and expand horizons.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Finally got a stable place to live, would love to share it with others and expand our little community. I've spent so many years living in friends basements and crashing on couches, it just feels nice to finally be able to give back.

Interests

Botany, biology, ADVENTURE!, conversations, storytelling, hiking, biking, swimming, climbing, board games, guitar, music, cooking/baking (and eating!). Always open to learn or try something new!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love good sci-fi, and got a couple of bookshelves full of cookbooks, astronomy, anthropology, and the natural world.

I am always eager to find something new - if you've got a favorite artist, film, or book, send it my way!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent six months living in a remote field camp in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. Hundreds of thousands of birds, and only seven people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I make a mean scone! Had a great experience at a bakery a few years ago, and decided to get really good at it.

Got a bunch of guitars up on the wall, and a couple of harmonicas. I'm a terrible musician, but love to jam!!

Josh and I have done a lot of cool conservation work in some pretty crazy places. We are always down to share stories of our adventures.

Sean is a bit of a history buff, and has done a lot of trail work in his time. He's always down for a good discussion.
