Hi, I am from the United States. I grew up on the west coast, in Oregon, Washington, and California and lived there my whole life.

I feel like everything happens for a reason and I try to have real conversations with genuine people that I meet. If we travel together, or just get together for a coffee and a chat I know I can learn something new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people during my travels and during theirs. To me, the most important part of life and traveling is making friends, especially locals, and learning about them. I don't just want to stay in a hotel room and be isolated from all the wonderful people out there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll listen to nearly anything. My favorites are alternative music, classic rock, punk, rap, jazz, and reggae. Some of my favorites are Bob Marley, MGMT, the Lumineers, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Sublime, Ryo Fukui, The White Stripes... I like listening to a lot of music.

I'm a big fan of horror movies and Sci-fi. I like movies such as The Thing, Indiana Jones, and especially stuff from Studio Ghibli. Really I like anything that has a good story.

I love reading and will read nearly anything: fiction, non-fiction, Harry Potter, history, Mark twain, Aldous Huxley.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help anyone learn some more English. I love teaching and have some experience, and find it really rewarding to help someone learn my language. I also know Arabic at a intermediate level, if you want to learn some of that.

I want to explore yoga and meditation more and learn new techniques. I also want to learn more French and Spanish. If you can teach me something in your native language, a new dance, or how to cook your favorite dish I would be very grateful.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am always willing to share what I have with good people. I don't just want a place to sleep, I enjoy taking my hosts out and getting some delicious food and having some good conversation. I'm good at accents and acting so hopefully you'll be smiling and laughing.
