I want to explore as much of Europe as possible during my fall semester abroad at the University of St Andrews.

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Zach. I'm going on 21 and am loving life. I'm from very rural Kentucky and grew up on my family's small farm. I love school and am ambitious with what I want to achieve in the future. While I may seem stoic and apathetic at times, I assure you that I'm a fun loving individual who enjoys meeting new and interesting people. I have a very sarcastic and dry sense of humor. I gravitate toward those who live a quiet yet fulfilling lifestyle and it doesn't take much for me to be content. With that being said, I do thoroughly enjoy wild nights out on the town and my favorite past time is traveling.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will be in Europe for the fall semester of 2012 and plan to use CouchSurfing to take advantage of free sleeping spaces and opportunities to meet people on the continent.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to CouchSurfing but some of my friends actively participate on the site and I have met many of the people they've hosted.

Music, Movies, and Books

Quentin Tarantino is my idol. Everything by him is a great movie. I also like Across the Universe, Good Will Hunting, 21, Orange County, Chicago, The Dark Knight, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Up, Fight Club, Almost Famous, Rain Man, and The Devil Wears Prada.

Some of my favorite musicians and musical groups are of Montreal, Andrew Bird, Vampire Weekend, St Vincent, Morning Teleportation, Kid Cudi, Beyonce, Regina Spektor, MIA, MGMT, Grizzly Bear, Amy Winehouse, and Animal Collective.

I love Harry Potter! Also, I like Life of Pi, Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Hunger Games, everything by Roald Dahl, and USA Presidential autobiographies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have driven non-stop across the United States from Nashville to San Francisco for spring break the past two years.
