ABOUT ME

I am a very friendly and relaxed person with way too many hobbies to travel with. I find almost anything interesting but try to focus my interests on music, photography, traveling, hiking, learning, thinking, and expanding my knowledge of different people and cultures around the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to find a bright side to any situation and avoid conflict whenever possible. I’m a big fan of listening to others to learn their perspectives on the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I lived in Chile for 4 and a half months where I traveled from the southern tip of the country to the northern end and almost everything in between. I have hiked and backpacked through some amazing places and now have an addiction to continue my travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted multiple people at my house and I am excited to experience Couchsurfing as a traveler.

Interests

I have many interests which are listed above. Hiking and music are two of my favorite things in this world. However, seemingly everyday I hear about or try something that interests me.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movies include Office Space, The Big Leboswki, Super Troopers, among others. I love many types of music, especially rock, alternative music, and r&b. You can't go wrong with music from the sixties, especially the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, the Doors, etc. I have so many books I love. On the Road is one of my all time favorites and Kurt Vonnegut is probably my favorite author.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have hiked through many parks throughout Chile and have seen beauties that many people have never heard about. I love hearing about and discovering new places as well as meeting new people who have done the same.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an aspiring elementary school teacher! I love working with kids because I think they teach you so many things that adults often overlook. I am constantly learning (a life long student) and love listening to others and hearing about their beliefs and experiences. I think this is the way to increase my empathy for others and become a better person. I hope this will be contagious and we can all work to understand one another better.
