About Me

Simply put; I find immense joy experiencing new places, meeting new people, overcoming new struggles, and most importantly doing my best to help others in any way I can. I do my best to allow openmindedness and love for all to be the foundation of my daily doings and outlook on life.

I first got hooked on traveling and volunteering during college, studying abroad in Ghana and taking several volunteer trips to Central America and Africa.

After university, I spent 1+ years in the corporate world and then realized my true passions/interests lay elsewhere - therefore I left my comfortable, stable, "sensible" corporate gig to once again volunteer and travel. After several months of doing exactly that I decided to come back to the USA to pursue a second degree in Nursing.

The plan is to complete Nursing school and then once again set off to travel, work, volunteer, and just lend a helping hand to those who need it wherever and whomever they may be.

I'm a firm believer in being open to whatever life has to offer (both the good and the bad) and going about whatever one chooses to do in a loving, caring, and thoughtful way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Annapurna Circuit in Nepal with a group of the most astounding people I know.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to think of myself as a bit of a "Jack of All Trades" in regards to general skills and abilities. A little bit of construction and handy-man knowledge, I've taught outdoor education at summer camps for numerous years, a little bit of musical ability, not quite the artist but I love to sketch and doodle. PADI open-water certified.

Always open to learning something new, regardless of what it may be!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A great conversation - Help around the house or in any way I can be useful -
A willingness to learn about their culture/way of life - Above all else appreciation and respect for their hosting.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, England, Ghana, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Nepal, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Swaziland, Thailand, Togo
