Overview
About Me
Young, recent college grad. I just spent one school year teaching English in a high school in Aix-en-Provence. Not really cut out to be a teacher, but it was a great way to spend a gap year.
I will be returning to the US in May to continue a career in finance.
I'm incredibly open minded and always looking for new experiences. My favorite memories are always the things I did that
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Never been couchsurfing before! I've heard great things about it and wanted to try something new. I've done my share of hostels and wanted to cross couchsurfing off of my "have done this" list.
See "What I Can Share" for more.
Interests
I'm pretty active - I like running, swimming, and Crossfit.
I'm a foodie and am not afraid to try new and different things. I love beef tongue and have had cow brain. I also really enjoy microbrew and craft beers.
I love going to bars and clubs and meeting new people, especially in Europe. I find that Europeans are far more interesting than Americans, because we Americans tend to focus too much on socio-economic status and what we do at work.
I also enjoy wasting hours in a sunny park. I think people watching is a sport - not for the purpose of being rude or mean, but rather just to study behaviors and mannerisms. Occasionally I create stories up about the people I watch.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - everything except screamo metal. Electro is alright, but there are limits.
Movies -anything directed by Christopher Nolan. I love Marvel movies and all of the "dark super hero" genres films. I prefer horror to romance but I love biopics.
Television - 30 Rock if the best show ever created. After that there is Penny Dreadful, American horror story, Game of Thrones.
Books - aight, I'm geeky here : Harry Potter, Hunger Games, sci-fi fantasy genre.
But I do like some more serious works - Catcher in the Rye, Suite Française, Caligula. Anything written by David Benioff, one of the producers for Game of Thrones, is also high on the list.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1) Arrived at the Atlanta airport 30 minutes before my flight was supposed to take off and still made it.
2) Been to a Russian bath house where they beat you with palm fronds in a sauna before you jump into freezing cold water outside.
3) Met Bill Clinton.
I don't know, I think this is a stupid question. For me, life isn't made up of the big "cool" moments, but rather the small ones when your lack of expectations for an event or activity help you appreciate it much more than you would otherwise. I prefer the little "aha!" moments.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I don't have anything incredible to offer - all I can offer is the chance for some cultural exchange and maybe the possibility to make a new friend.
If you like where you come from and are proud of your heritage, I would love to see it from your point of view. That's really why I'm here on couchsurfing. I abhor the typical American tourist and instead of seeing new place through the eyes of a tourist, I prefer to see them through the eyes of the amazing individuals who call the place home.
