ABOUT ME

I love meeting new people and getting a perspective different from my own. I play trumpet and guitar (and a few others casually) and love all types of music. I like exploring the outdoors through hiking, running, biking, or just walking. I don't really have a command of any languages outside of my native tongue (English) and some Hebrew, I look forward to traveling more and really being able to learn many languages in the future!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to get to experience where I travel from a local perspective. I've had such great experiences thus far with the people I've met while surfing and hosting and can't see a reason why not to use Couchsurfing as most of the time when traveling! I've never been a fan of doing touristy things, the idea of having experiences with people that live in the place I'm traveling to appeals to me much more than seeing a historic building (although of course I wouldn't mind seeing the gorgeous things a city has to offer!)

兴趣

Music is huge in my life. I practice my trumpet every day and try to play with people as much as possible. While I don't know exactly where my life will take me, I would love to continue playing trumpet and writing music professionally in the context of jazz, latin, and funk music. Recently composition and arranging has taken a bigger role in musical life, and I'm loving every minute of it. I also hope to play more guitar, bass, and piano, once I finish my degree in jazz trumpet/composition. No matter what instrument (including voice!) that you play I always welcome the opportunity to play with other people.

Wellness and fitness have been a big part of my life for a while now. From lifting weights, to boxing, yoga, meditation, running, biking, crossfit, etc. I love to get my endorphins flowing and be in touch with my body. And like most things, these are best done with other people!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Living for a year in Jerusalem. Coming from living with my parents my entire life and going to high school, to then working and living on my own was a real eye-opener in many ways. These experiences made me realize the gems every single person has to offer and how much there is to learn in life. It also got me my first experience with Couchsurfing!

I am very serious about cooking, and cooking with friends old and new is one my favorite things in life.

I can help with those trying to better their English or any beginners trying to learn Hebrew.
