I'm a teacher from the United States, living and working in SE Asia, Bangkok at the moment. I enjoy traveling around the world and meeting locals and fellow travelers. I grew up in the Chicago, IL suburbs before attending Michigan State University. I spent nearly two years living and working in South Korea and then traveling the world. I'm interested in opportunities to work and meet others.

Intereses

I am especially passionate about the social studies including history, political science, economics, geography and sociology. I enjoy going to museums and cultural monuments to learn more about different peoples and civilizations. I also a lover of the nature and the outdoors. I am an Eagle Scout in the BSA and I like to go hiking, cycling, rock climbing, swimming, camping and so on. Additionally, I enjoy film, board games and most especially food and drink! Over the past couple of years I have also gained a passion for yoga and scuba diving. I've logged over one hundred dives and I am currently a PADI Divemaster Candidate. I've nearly finished my course and certified as a professional diver!

I enjoy many varieties of music, but my favorites tend to be classic rock: AC/DC, Def Leppard, Led Zepplin, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Doors, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Rush, Styx, Van Halen, and Metallica to name some. I also like Dave Matthews Band, Sam Smith, Eminem, The Notorious BIG, Red Hot Chili Peppers and other artists. Basically if it sounds good, I'll listen.

Movies: Too many to list, but here's a list of some of my favorite directors: Tarantino, Spielberg, Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan, James Cameron, Martin Scorsese, Ridley Scott and Hayao Miyazaki.

Books: Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Hunger Games, A Million Little Pieces, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Fault in Our Stars among others.
