About Me

CURRENT MISSION

clap hands, stamp feet, catch clams, eat beets

ABOUT ME

I like to think I'm a good natured sort of fellow. Fairly tall, but not outrageously so. Long limbs which allow me to reach places you might not be able to and of course making arm gestures altogether frequent, clumsy and grand.
I'm pretty curious and like to know how and why things work, sometimes I ask a lot of questions.
I like couchsurfing because, as far as I've seen, it brings out the very best in people. I can't say how cool is to have someone come out of the woodwork, live with you a bit, and explain how they see things.

PHILOSOPHY

Impermanence and life's fleeting. Don't panic about it, cherish the way things always come back a little changed. It's never really silent. We're making a lot up as we go along.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, Surfing! I like showing people around the places I know if I know them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed twice in Jerusalem and Helsinki and have hosted more than a few times by now. Every time I'm amazed at how great it is and how much you can learn from other people and how generous they are. And mostly people approach it with a curious mind and I like that.

Interests

chess, beekeeping, saunas, cooking, memorizing things, taking it slow whenever possible, gurgling, potluckin', snotsucklin', swashbucklin', etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Did the Jordan, West Bank, Israel hop. Time consuming but a totally unique experience and one I've got to think about a lot. I also once found $50 in my pocket!

Teach, Learn, Share

a paste made from baking soda and water is a great way to relieve bee and wasp stings.
