Hi guys, my name's Zack. I'm a Royal Marine in the British Armed Forces, just in Helmand province Afghanistan at the moment. Going to spend six weeks in the US when I get back, can't wait!

I like to run every now and then. I've completed some short (two 10k's and a half marathon) races at home but would like to attempt something more challenging in the future.

Wherever I go I tend to take my iPod with me. I like all sorts from rock to dance music. I've been reading more than I ever have while I'm in Afghanistan, smashing through Bret Easton Ellis novels.
