ABOUT ME

I really dig the city i live in. I flitted all around western and southern Europe summer of '06 and it made me very grateful to live in Portland. It's a fantastic city for what it has. Most recently i spent December in Thailand, a quick trip just shy of 4 weeks and i ate many of the most amazing meals i've ever had. Definitely planning a return trip.
As far as what i do when i'm not traveling? I make coffee and food really well, these are two the two things that have consumed my life for the last ten years. In other words i have worked in many fine dining joints and studied the art of making coffee, this is where most of my passions lay. yep.
I've been living in Portland since '02 and Oregon since i was born in a small town called Ashland in southern Oregon. I often hear from people that it is one of the best places they have ever lived, but i need to go travel to test this theory.
I also kind of pride myself on being a geek, but the good kind ^^, I can't resist a comic shop, I have star wars tattoos, and i got the gold chocobo in FF VII.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe a few things.
I believe that treating people well and respectfully is still the best option, and insures the quickest karmic retribution. I
That life should be a constant evolution of mental and physical aspirations to make yourself happy, or at least content. I don't believe in denying yourself anything as long as it is not harmful to yourself or others.
I am always working and using my hands to create, usually food or art.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to expand my social circle on a global scale. I hope to meet people and be able to offer them a place to stay an the U.S. when they visit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, i come from a long line of couchsurfing friends and family, who were not associated with this site.
I enjoy hosting, it opens many possibilities as well as tipping the karma scales in my favor!

兴趣

Most consumables (coffee, food, life!) i am pretty obsessed with.
It's an obsession with marrying, combining flavors, and perfecting processes of cooking. I wouldn't say i'm a food snob, because i really do enjoy the most basic foods and flavors, i'm just a foodie!
One of my developing aspirations has been spending alot of time is photography, and being in the darkroom. I'm really getting into classic processes of silver gelatin prints. Neat!

I love to talk food. always. Some of the best nights i have had were staying up until sunrise with other cooks, drinking whiskey and talking about food.
Art as well, i have been a hobbyist photographer for many years, taking classes at the local college to learn more about the art. I work in the darkroom with film mostly, but i also shoot digital for the ease of use and gratification. if you would like to see any go to http://www.flickr.com/people/bunnytek .
I'm a bit of an entrepreneur as well, i have helped start two cafe's from scratch and one restaurant as well. i can geek out on this topic well ^^
