Overview
About Me
Hello! I’m a PhD student at Harvard (finally graduating in May 2026!) who's endlessly curious about how people make sense of the world. My academic work spans social science, linguistics, computer science, and philosophy, and outside research I spend a lot of time teaching tai chi, figure skating, cooking, and organizing community events. I love creating spaces where people feel safe and connected.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet new people, exchange ideas, and reconnect with the spirit of hospitality and cultural exchange that made my early travel experiences so memorable. I’m traveling more for conferences this year, and it felt like the perfect time to return to this community.
Interests
I have a wide range of interests, but the more fundamental the concept, the more I'm drawn to it (e.g. philosophy of science over a particular scientific theory, jurisprudence over a particular court ruling).

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy listening to movie and game soundtracks and musical theater!
As for books, I'm mostly read nonfiction for my research.
While I haven't been watching many movies recently, I'm the kind of person who gets bothered by loopholes so I tend to prefer ones that are based on real stories.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year I took part in an international tai chi competition in Taiwan and won a few medals!
Teach, Learn, Share
If anyone wants to learn about tai chi, I'm always excited to share about that!
