About Me
Hi,
I'm an Energy Engineer living and working in Berlin. Spent my childhood in equal parts going back and forth between India and UAE so I generally have a hard time identifying my home. What I do know is that I'm an avid football fan, and follow it quite closely. When I'm done reading every football article I can lay my hands on, I like to read some fiction, although recently I have started to dabble in non-fiction as well. I consider myself a very rational thinker, and have known to surprise people with my occassional practicality. I enjoy a good conversation above everything else, and love to discuss technical and philosophical themes at length.
Oh and as terrible as my voice is, I love to sing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To be honest, I got this when I couldn't find a place to rent, when I first arrived in Europe. It was a life-saver. Haven't used it since the first time, but now that I finally have a place I can host, I want to give back to the idea, that helped me out when I needed it the most.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music : If it has a recognizable pattern, I enjoy it. Haven't really found/followed a specific genre, although I've started to listen to Jazz often recently, as long as the music is moving, I can groove to it.
Movies : Rom-Coms, these are my escape from the humdrums of life into a more often-than-not dream that leave you with a smile. A particular favourite would Love Actually, the right mix of cheesiness and cheesiness.
Books : Missed out on it in the middle somewhere, but have taken it up again, with non-fiction. Although my favourite still remain the series I grew up as a kid with, Harry Potter.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, not really good at anything to classify myself as able to teach. Probably football tactics are the only knowledge I can impart and perhaps answer questions about culture.
Love to learn about people, there is always a point of view that is missed by you when thinking ofanything and conversation is the easiest way to identify them. Conversation is how individuals become smarter than the smartest person in the group.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A conversation.
While I'm a moderately good cook, I know mostly indian dishes and I always stumble upon some missing ingredients when I offer to cook.
