Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Most people come to Cape Town and only see the touristy side. This has made me realise that I only see the touristy side of countries I travel to.

Having someone introduce you to their own city adds so much to the experience. I enjoyed living without electricity with villagers in Chiang Mai a lot more than the picture perfect beaches in Phuket.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I scuba dived (dove?) with the Seven Gill Cow Sharks in the kelp forest off the coast of Cape Town. While they are generally not aggressive, its a bit scary knowing that these majestic 3 meter long beasts could tear you to shreds in a minute if they wanted to. Luckily they prefer seals :)
