I come from Pakistan. I moved to Milano to attend the engineering university and later started working here. Living in this wonderful city proved out to be a life changing experience for me. I got the chance to meet people from all around the globe. Learning new languages, experiencing foreign culture and exploring this beautiful region became a new passion for me.
so, I decided that I will travel and and would like to visit all the European destinations before going back to my country.
I started with Scandinavia and visited Denmark and Sweden during last summers. I spent last few months ticking off the checklist, the major Italian cities and now I want to explore rest of Mediterranean region before moving on to Eastern Europe :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

well.. I came to know about this platform quite recently. Being a backpacker, I can realize the importance of finding a local travel mate or host as it really improves the overall experience of journey. Living in Milan, I intend to use this website to meet with wonderful people coming from all over the world and explore this city along with them.
I would love to host some people but currently I am living in university residence that doesn't allow me to have guests over-night. Nevertheless, I am always available to help in finding the reasonable residences and to show you around the city :-)
I also wish to find some travel mates / hosts during my upcoming summer journeys (I intend to make most of these summers).

Interests

There are many things that I like.. The most important one of them is traveling. I love to explore new places. Getting out of my comfort zone and spending my nights far from my comfy bed and heated room :)
Apart from that, I like music. I like to listen to all genres except of metal (I think metal music is just a form of noise xD). I follow few TV series regularly and same is true for movies from some particular directors. I like to read books about human psychology. I find them really interesting and helpful to understand my thought process :)
I love to meet new people. Though, I am not an expert in starting conversations but I can talk and contribute with my opinion when the discussion is on the way :)
I follow international media and try to stay up to date with news as I believe it is my social and civic responsibility. I have been volunteering for some causes and I enjoy spending sometime, trying to help others :)
Then, there is a crazy side of me. I love to do party and clubbing with my friends (Milan is a heaven for party lovers) ( If you are reading this and looking for some party place in Milano, just contact me !!! )
I like photography and I spend major time of my trips capturing the moments in the memory of my camera. Every time I look at those pictures again, I am able to transport myself back into the time and feel the same joy for few moments :)
I also like to dance and have been practicing tango for almost a year now. I got an electric guitar recently and it is one of my year's wish to learn playing this instrument.

Music, Movies, and Books

My all time favorite singer is "Adele". There is no match for her voice. Then, there comes Sia, Ed Sheeran, Pink and Enrique Iglesias. I appreciate all genres of music :)
My favorite music composers are Hans zimmer, Yanni, James Horner and AR Rahman.
Regarding movies, instead of expensive cinematic and high tech commercial film making, I prefer the concept of shooting a simple idea beautifully, covering all the finer details and touching you at the very right places. I never miss a movie from Christopher Nolan, Guy Ritchie, Quentin and James Cameron.
My favorite most book is "and there were none" by Agatha Christie. However, there are many others as a candidate to be 2nd most favorite. Lets talk more about them once we meet !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

well.. I completed my bachelors in electronics in 2012 and instead of going for getting myself employed just like my class-mates, I decided to have my own start up. The decision was a tough one and led to some really challenging times ahead but I thoroughly enjoyed my time working as an entrepreneur. It was an embedded design house and working with a small team, doing something bigger than all of us was an amazing experience of my life!
The start-up still exists and we are trying to expand its operations from my country to Europe.
