ABOUT ME

An Aussie who's fallen in love with Europe. I've set up my homebase in Krakow (my own apartment!), and from here I find myself in a position to meet many more of you wonderful people.

I'm basically a reincarnated cat. I'm lazy, pampered, picky about the quality of my food and like to hold myself up as the paragon of all things graceful and refined. Other than that, though, I'm playful as hell, shrug off the embarrassment of doing something stupid in an instant and intensely curious about what's going on around me. Perhaps that describes more of a kitten, I dunno.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life in pursuit of knowledge and happiness. I hunger for new experiences and insights, particularly with other people. That's why when I travel I prefer to hang around chatting with strangers in pubs or cafes than seeing a building which I could look at on google images. I seek the space that lies in between two people

I have almost mastered the art of being permanently happy and optimistic. Pisses quite a few people off.

Deep conversations on the nature of love, life, the universe, languages, whatever takes your fancy... Just sitting in a nice pub/cafe and talking about such things is the ideal way for me to spend my time. Otherwise, my interest lie in the direction of getting into unique and fantastical situations

I'm also big into the sport of floorball/unihokej/innebandy. I Frequently go on weekend tournaments across Europe to play with my lovely ad-hoc team, and hopefully not come last!

The Before trilogy (Before Sunset, Before Sunrise, Before Midnight) is my first love movie wise. Second doesn't even come close to the level I love those movies

Music I tend towards indie/electro, but I can listen to anything that's not angry/angsty/full on.

As for books, some favourites are House of Leaves, Siddhartha, Manifesto and The Power and the Glory to give a short list

Well, I think everything I do is pretty amazing and I think if I typed out my life story from day one you would soon feel unfulfilled and that your life has no meaning. Or you'd be really bored, which is also quite possible.

My knowledge of useless things, that no one has any reason to ever know or would want to know, rivals wikipedia. I become a fast expert on wherever I live and I'm also a pretty mean cook. I can shoot the shit on economics, politics, and philosophy with the best of them, provided the best also have a beer in their hand.
