About me-I am a guy who lives a simple, healthy, and fullfilling life. Im a traveller, a burner, and a fire arts performer. I have been hosting many couchsurfers even before this website came along and I really enjoy showing guests around the place I call home.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This site is THE greatest idea and would have been psyched to have had it as part of my travelling experience years ago. It is a fantastic way to meet people in need of a free place to stay. I know the feeling of being out on the road and looking forward to staying in a real home, rather than another night on the top bunk of a rickety hostel bed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Over the years, I have met friends through school and travelling who have been kind enough to offer their home to me as if it were my own, just as I have done so for many others. The best part of it is reconnecting with someone who you've met somewhere in the world whom you thought you would never see again. It's an incredible feeling. It makes the world a bit smaller.

Interessen

I enjoy hiking, biking, tennis, going to sport events, music concerts, surfing, camping, modern art, fire arts performing, film, ethnic foods, and the occasional raging party.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I am a big fan of inde films. I don't enjoy much of the crap films that come out of Hollywood. Basically, if they show it on the big screen on a flight, it's probably not for me. Some of my favourites are Lola Rennt, Centro do Brasil, Bladerunner, Cidade de Deus, Paris Je t'aime, Diabolique, The Godfather, Moonrise Kingdom, Reservoir Dogs, Tainspotting, the list goes on. I like most types of music from hard rock to hiphop to techno to bluegrass. Some of the best books I've read: A Prayer for Owen Meany, Naked, Dune, The Hobbit & Lord of the Rings, Fast Food Nation. I am currently reading Shantaram.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I had visited an orangutan reserve in Kalimantan, Indonesia. I befriended a 4 year old male orangutan who allowed me to carry him around the jungle every day on my back. One day, I discovered him eating from a ramen noodle packet which he had knicked from the pantry and when he saw me, he offered some to share with me. It blew my mind, really.
