Hello everyone,

my name is Petr. I'm 27 years old and currently live in my native country, which is the Czech Republic. It is located in the center of Europe. It is a small country with about ten million inhabitants and someone can know it as Czechoslovakia. I live all my life in the village and small towns. This is probably the reason why I prefer nature rather than huge cities. Of course, I realize the benefits of living in big cities. Especially, in terms of trading, business and services.

My dream place for life is a bigger city right next to nature. Ideally with sandy beaches and the ocean. Every day I think about living in countries like the US and Australia where this is possible. But I still did not find the opportunity and the courage to do it.

This year, for the first time in my life, I spent a holiday outside Europe. I have visited the Cape Verde Islands, which are located in Africa. It was definitely the best vacation in my life. I spent most of my holiday on the beautiful sandy beaches, which I love so much. I also traveled around the island of Sal and visited its capital city, the turtle hatchery where you can adopt the newly-born turtle, the salt mine in the volcano crater, the burial site of the shells, the natural phenomenon called the dragon's eye, saw the fatamorgan in the desert, and walk among the sharks in the shark bay. Too, I have met a lot of local people and their everyday life, habits, nature and culture, which is incredibly different from the European one I live in all my life.

The holiday in Cape Verde was an amazing experience for me, and I decided to meet more people from multiple countries and cultures. I do not want to spend only a holiday in their country. I want to meet as many local people as possible, their everyday life, hobbies, etc.

They are always welcome to my home! And I will show the Czech Republic to this friends and if they will want, I will show them the whole of Europe. Because this is my country, and I can show them the real everyday life in this country.
