ABOUT ME

somewhat lost... and then found just recently. finally (at age 28!) really discovering who i am, what i like/don't like and what makes me happy in this crazy life. it's been a rough journey at times but totally worth the trip. love living in nyc (though hope to end up in paris one day:) and experiencing all the amazing cultural diversity this city has to offer. clear obsession with france/french language and culture but pretty much love meeting people from all over the world and learning about their experiences and viewpoints.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

sadly I cannot host at this moment, but hopefully one day I will find a roommate who is as in love with couchsurfing as I am so that I will be able to return the generosity many couchsurfers have already shown to me. I have only couchsurfed a couple times, but I have been to various meet-ups, and every CS experience I have had has been a great one.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

have stayed with a couple couchsurfers in France and one in America... all great experiences and have been to meet-ups in France as well as New York where I have met only the most interesting and open-minded people. So refreshing to meet people who actually think, have opinions and can hold interesting conversation immediately upon meeting them.

Interests

travel, art (especially conceptual/experimental/'weird' stuff:), design (graphic and other), dance of all kinds, good food (which to me is pretty much anything with cheese in or on it;), writing, good wine (preferably french), speaking french (even if my accent and vocabulary are terrible!), interesting conversations that challenge the way you see the world, new adventures/experiences and just generally enjoying life!

books & movies: anything biographical or autobiographical (of course assuming the subject is actually an interesting and creative person worth learning about:). music: currently obsessed with hot chip, gotan project and lady gaga - so my taste is pretty eclectic (but of course discerning!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

zip-line through the rainforest in Costa Rica... Cinque Terre in Italy... fete des lumières in Lyon... sea kayaking in the bitter cold in Wales... caving under Budapest... fete de la musique in paris, 14 juillet in paris... les calanques (even if for only a minute)... lots and lots and lots of beautiful/amazing art, design and dance!
