One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snowboard in hand, long hike, the arm, Mount Baker, 3 feet of fresh snow.

Watch a dung beetle push a very large ball of dung across a dirt road in Addo Elephant National Park in South Africa.

Broke my bike frame in half, crashed hard on my back, saw stars like in a cartoon, and debated with a medic about whether my back was broken and I needed a helicopter.

Apply caribeeners and rope to strap myself in to a long night sleep atop a rickety bus in India while enjoying the honking, stars, and occassionally closing my eyes to avoid tree branches.
