About Me
Hi! I’m Zanyar, a master’s student living in Kraków, Poland, with a love for travel and connection. For me, travel is all about learning about different cultures, sharing stories, and discovering those common threads that remind us how connected we all are, no matter where we’re from. Meeting new people and forming friendships on the road makes every journey feel more meaningful—sharing a meal, exploring hidden spots together, or just swapping life stories. Each trip brings unique memories and friendships that often last well beyond the journey.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe travel is about more than just sightseeing—it’s about making connections, sharing experiences, and learning from people who call each place home. Couchsurfing gives me the chance to meet locals, hear their stories, and see places through a different lens. I love the idea of cultural exchange and the friendships that can come from it, even if they’re just for a short time. I’m here to connect, learn, and hopefully create lasting memories with new friends around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m a big fan of jazz, classical, and pop music, as I enjoy the depth and variety these genres offer. When it comes to movies, I’m drawn to stories that are rich in history and drama, with strong character development and meaningful plots. As for books, I love reading about personal development, science, history, and occasionally a good novel to unwind. I find that these interests help me learn, grow, and connect with the world in meaningful ways.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I’ve done was organize a cultural exchange between my university and another institution, where students and researchers from different backgrounds came together to share knowledge and ideas. It was incredibly rewarding to witness the connections that were made and the impact of cross-cultural collaboration. It reinforced my belief in the power of education and shared experiences in building bridges between people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love sharing my passion for cooking and exploring new recipes, as well as exchanging knowledge about history and life experiences. I'm also happy to sing a song or two—music has a special way of connecting people. Whether it’s teaching a new dish or sharing interesting historical facts, I’m always eager to learn and grow through conversations with others.
