I am an English Teacher living and working in great city of Beijing. How I got here I don't know, but I left university with no plans except to see some of the world and get some experiences. I am trying to learn Chinese and I try and have as much cultural fun as I can whilst I'm here

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined a long time ago because of the recommendations of friends, but I never took advantage. I want to meet new people, get to know the locals and see a different taste of the place I'm visiting. Hopefully I can sometimes return the favour!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have pretty eclectic tastes. I love most things that can challenge and interest me. I love the music of LCD Soundsystem, The Smiths, Fela Kuti, Four Tet, Mount Kimbie, Burning Spear, Deerhunter, Touamani Diabate, and many many more

I love classic films and books that challenge the boundaries between reality and fiction, like the directors, Tarkovsky, Kiarostami, Welles, Ray and Kurosawa or the writers Pynchon, Greene, Oe, Achebe, Flann O'Brien and Baldwin
