About Me

CURRENT MISSION

eat well, be outside, show compassion

ABOUT ME

Seattle is our home base, but we've recently spent a fair bit of time in South Korea and south-west Montana.

PHILOSOPHY

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrowmindedness...and many of our people need it solely on these accounts.
- Mark Twain

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've experienced incredible hospitality as a backpackers in Europe, Asia and South America, and as long-distance hikers and cyclists. We heard about CouchSurfing a couple years ago and we immediately understood the vision: to us it's about raising people's quality of life by facilitating travel and new experiences while minimizing the usual financial barriers. We hosted travelers from around the world several years at our place in Tongyeong, South Korea. We surfed through Japan a few summers back; it was fabulous!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

With a little care, CouchSurfing can be a great way to meet some truly fabulous people. CouchSurfers are always a great reminder of the diversity in our world; it's always great to share perspectives and hear about life from some other corner of the globe. A huge thank you to all our hosts in Japan--without whom our adventure would not have been possible!

Interests

Travel, languages, and culture. Hiking, camping, cycling--basically being outdoors. We love to eat healthy, but we enjoy a good beer now and again.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you already feel guilty, you can give it a rest. If you haven't felt guilty for a while, it's time to get honest about things.
