About Me
Hey! Im Zara
I live in England with my parents and my boyfriend, he is Turkish and we are considering moving to Turkey in the future!
I love to travel, meet new people, discover different cultures and make new friends - and what better way to do it than through this platform?
I've travelled around most of Europe solo, and a few other places.. I love to travel and will go at any opportunity!
I'm very comfortable finding things to do for myself but also happy to be given recommendations, or have someone come along with me!
I'd love to be able to host in return, my current home is in a small village so transport links aren't great - I do have a car and will be happy to drive places for ease.
Its a shame I have to include this in really but.. I'm here for making friends only - NOT using it as a Tinder account (if you catch my drift), hopefully there will be no miscommunication regarding this 🙃
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people.. and what better way to meet new people than in new countries?! Whether that is by being hosted, hangouts, or hosting myself
Interests
I'm sure there's more interests! But when forced to write them down my mind goes blank.. but in general whilst travelling I like exploring places, walking around and finding things I might not have found before.. meeting locals or people from other countries that are also travelling is great too! Also collecting tattoos as I go, so any suggestions for good black and white artists will be welcomed!
I love to try new things, I'm currently learning Turkish, and how to knit.. i love to learn 😊
- walking
- sightseeing
- laughing
- making friends
- listening to music
- walking tours
- animals lover
- eating local food
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy most music types, but I'm a real sucker for 90s and naughties pop classics 😅 - if I can sing along (badly) I'll love it! You might not though..
I also love Scottish and Irish folk music, the kind of stuff that makes your foot tap and makes me want to get up and dance (although I'm no good at dancing)
I love reading but I don't read as much as I'd like to
Again, with movies there's no specific genre - I'm not a massive sci-fi fan though. Anything Disney I love
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Kenya for a month (my second time) and helped in a school/border home, and I just loved it.. its something I'm very proud of, and I'd love to go back again
Travelled solo for on-and-off 2 years
Teach, Learn, Share
I can attempt to show you how to knit, although I'm very new to it! We can teach you some Turkish, or some Scottish Gaelic. We LOVE card games, and happy to be taught some more. I love to bake, so you may find some fresh brownies, cakes or cookies if i have had the time to make them
What I Can Share with Hosts
A friendly face, I've been told I am funny in a good way.. I can cook (it's pretty basic, but edible 🤣), and bake (more edible than my cooking) will help out with anything needed. I just love to meet new people, although I can sometimes be a little shy - if the person I'm meeting is outgoing I'm more likely to bounce off their energy
