About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Genetically modify my snakes to create dragons

ABOUT ME

The only way to know someone is face to face. But in two words, I think I am a guy who refused to let his inner child die. I love to laugh, to learn, to try new things, to meet people.

I was born in Paris, grew up in Lebanon, and came back here for my studies. I got to experience both cultures fully which helped me have a clearer view of the world and of myself. It also gave me a thirst for new cultures, meeting new people and viewing the world through their eyes. I also lived a short while in the UK and US, and traveled a bit during the last few years. Right now I am finishing up my PhD in genetics and will soon have more time to discover other parts of the world and meet more awesome people!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to listen instead of just waiting for my turn to speak

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To lure CouchSurfers into my home and use them as cheap snake food!

Interests

Meeting people with completely different outlooks on life and listening to their story on this earth.

Having fun, doing stupid stuff in Paris is my second favorite hobby. My first is have a nice metaphysical discussion on deep subjects at 3 am.

I am interested in science, I play a few racquet games quite well and like to swim a lot, play the guitar (miserably) and like to cook. I juggle a lot lately, try to open a book once in a while, write sometimes, and like to mess with the genome of some organisms. I also enjoy every kind of outdoor activity: Hiking, biking, walking, especially in mountains.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Sci-Fi or fantasy movies and books, basically anything that transports me to another world. Right at the moment I am in a Lovecraft phase. I also pretend to read books with fancy titles sometimes! Some of the series I really like: Westworld, Rick and Morty, Game of Thrones, The Expanse, Black Mirror, Altered Carbon and Firefly (What do you mean "geek"?)

And I mainly listen to progressive rock bands like Pink Floyd or Camel and to metal like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Opeth, Dream Theater, Dark Tranquility, In Flames, Amon Amarth, Gojira... anything from classical music to death metal and rock in general.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once won a race against a few million competitors, and so did you!

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you French, Arabic, how to juggle with fire and some random fun stuff about your brain! I am giving courses to bachelor and master students on how to genetically create a dragon, so we can talk about that.

Learning anything about your way of looking at the world would be great, also basic words and phrases in new languages! Right now I am trying to not suck at German, any help is welcome!

Oh, and if anyone can teach me how to properly breathe fire...
